Cajon High School, Class of 2024 / Political Science & Social Justice Advocate

Mr. Garbutt engaged with WHD early in his senior year with a college tour to UCSB. Soon after, he was working one-on-one with his college essays. We noted his amazing talent as a stilt walker and how he engages in his community by teaching young and old the history of stilt walking. Putting his political science interest to work, he became a strong advocate for the school swimming team. He presented his case to the school district, which later garnered the athletic department a sizable contribution for new equipment and a future swimming pool.
